Jharkhand Seasons

A review of what to expect during different times of the year in Jharkhand.

July – September
Monsoon Season

Heavy rains transform Jharkhand into a lush green carpet. This is the peak season for waterfalls (Hundru, Dassam, Jonha) as they cascade with full, thundering volume. The forests look fresh, though trekking can be slippery.

Ideal for Waterfalls
March – June
Summer Season

Temperatures can reach 40°C in the plains. However, the hill station of Netarhat remains pleasantly cool. Spring (March) is wonderful due to the blooming of red Palash flowers across the forests of Latehar.
