Safety & Timing Guidelines

• Respect Jungle Rules: During jungle safaris in Betla or Dalma, maintain complete silence. Do not throw garbage, do not attempt to feed wild animals, and never step out of your safari vehicle.
• Avoid Late Night Commute: Forest corridors and remote highways in western Jharkhand (Latehar, Palamu) are best traversed during daylight. Complete your road travel before 6:30 PM.
• Caution Near Waterfalls: Waterfalls in Ranchi have strong underwater currents and slippery rocks. Do not cross warning barriers or jump into deep pool areas without a local guide.

Packing Checklist

• Warm Clothing: Essential if visiting Netarhat between November and February, as night temperatures can drop to 5°C.
• Trekking Footwear: Sturdy sports or hiking shoes are mandatory for climbing the 700+ steps at Hundru Falls or the 28-km trail at Parasnath.
• First Aid & Mosquito Repellent: Forest regions like Betla can have malaria risks. Carry basic medication, mosquito repellents, and water-purifying tablets.
