Yogini Dham is a historic hilltop cave shrine located in Pathargama in the Godda district of Jharkhand. Dedicated to Goddess Yogini (a form of Goddess Durga), it is widely revered by local communities who consider it an offbeat Shakti Peetha, holding spiritual significance similar to the Kamakhya Temple in Assam. The main deity resides inside a natural rocky cave on top of the hill, reached by climbing a flight of stone steps. The temple is surrounded by dense forest groves and peaceful rural valleys, offering a tranquil sanctuary for spiritual seekers and pilgrims.

History & Significance

According to local mythological beliefs, the temple marks the spot where the thigh of Goddess Sati fell during Lord Shiva's Tandava. The cave temple has been a center of Tantric and Shakti worship for several centuries, historically patronized by local tribal chiefs.
